FROM A CHILD

You never know the struggles of the world
Until you have a child to support.
The world is no longer in your eyes when you look in the mirror.
The world is no longer on your shoulders when things get heavy.
Your world
Is in the eyes of that child.
All that you've dreamt of
Or desperately needed
Lies within that child.
A father will bare the world for his kids.
But a mothers love
Is uncompatable.
A mothers love for her child
Is second after the lord above.
A mother will go from heaven to hell,
In all ways possible
Just to make ends meet for they're child.
This world we live in
Isn't built on dreams for ones self.
Its built on the dreams
Of making things better for your kids,
And mines.
We work hard to make life better for them.
We strive even harder to make they're future seem that much brighter.

As kids we never seem to acknowledge our parents love.
As kids we feel
Over whelmed
And over protected
With this love given unto us.
But the type of love our parents grace us with.
Is the type of love we needed.
Its the type of love we need to keep us grounded.

I'm not writing this as a parent.
I'm writing this as a loved child finally acknowledging the love my
parents give to me.
